Me too. And me neither.
Whether I'm covering an old hymn or a hot new release, I'll put a creative spin on it that you haven't heard before.
The spice of life, right? Choral, Christian Contemporary, duets, traditional hymns, and occasionally some non-Christian genres (GASP) haha!
My music will always be family-friendly, no matter which genre any given song falls in. Appropriate age range: between birth and death.
I'll assume you love listening to a cappella music, or you appreciate it as the technical skill it is. Think of contemporary a cappella artists like BYU Vocal Point, Pentatonix, Home Free, Peter Hollens, and the list goes on. Does their music light a fire in you?
Here's what I'm wondering if you've ever felt, cause I have.
All these groups are amazing, but it's rather hard to find a cappella covers of this style and caliber for many hymns and most songs within the CCM genre.
There are SO MANY (Christian) songs out there that are practically begging to be sung a cappella. Yes, I realize hymns are already a cappella. You might ask, "What's wrong with the traditional way hymns have been sung?" Nothing! I love four part harmony! Even two-part harmony (check out my latest music video). I also love some lead and harmony vocals with some doo wop, background harmonies, beatboxing, a groovy bass line, and replacing instruments with my voice. :)
I would simply like to connect already amazing songs with this niche style of music that is contemporary a cappella. What better way to do that than sing in a way that reveals our Creator and enriches the lives of those who listen?
